Hello and happy Sunday night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, it's been two days of change so far and I have to say, I am kicking some ass!! I went to the store and stocked up on lean meats, veggies, eggs, fruit and brown products (rice, bread, pasta)....Happy to report that it has been 2 days with no caffeine and though the headaches have been coming and going, it's nothing that will stop me from this change!
Tomorrow after work I start HEAT yoga, which will help rid me of these toxins that are in my body, and it might also be offensive as I have eaten a TON of broccoli, so hopefully that doesn't start coming out of my pores!
I started reading this book called the Insulin-Resistance Diet and they use the link system, which means you can eat carbs, but you have to link protein with it, for example:
Every two hours you can eat 30 grams of carbs (meaning 2 servings of 15 grams), for each 15 grams of carbs, you should also have 7 grams of protein, so 30g of carbs = 14g of protein...
If you get hungry before the two hours are up then have some protein or veggies to hold you over!
Also, did you know that 2 out of 3 people are considered to be insulin-resistant???? TRUE!
I attached the checklist to review to see if you might be insulin-resistant, it says if you have three or more you could be!!!!
